Shafer, Paul K. (Oct 1817 - Apr 1887)
Died, at his residence on Church Street, this city, Mr. Paul K. Shafer, aged 9 years, 6 months, 27 days. Funeral will take place on Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m., from the M. E. Church.
The above, taken from the Sturgeon Bay Independent, informs the Phonograph boys of the death of an uncle. Uncle Paul has been a great sufferer for years, having been afflicted with Puthisic for many years. He removed to Sturgeon Bay from Beaver Dam some fifteen or sixteen years ago, hoping the change would benefit his health, and it did in a measure, but for several years past his decline has been gradual but steady. The bereaved family has our most heartfelt sympathy.
