Brotherton, Minor (11 Jan 1811 - 1 NOV 1887)
Died, at his residence in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., on Tuesday, Nov. 1st, 1887, of old age, Minor Brotherton, in the 77th year of his age.
Minor Brotherton was born in the state of New York on the 11th day of January 1811. He settled in Wisconsin, at Black River Falls, in 1869, and in 1872 came with his family to the town of Hull, where he has since made it his home. Mr. Brotherton was a quiet, unassuming and industrious man, honest and upright in every particular, well liked by all with whom he became acquainted. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, two sons, R. W., who resides at the homestead, and A. C. Brotherton, of Walla Wall, Wash., and three daughters, Mrs. M. L. Williams of Chicago, Mrs. Fred Rietz and Miss Ellinor Brotherton of Neillsville, Clark County.
