Hardrath, Lula (9 Oct. 1896 - 2 Dec. 1969)

AREA RESIDENT DIES AT AGE 73

Owen - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ for Mrs. Louis (Lula) Hardrath, 73, of route 1, Owen, who died Wednesday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

The Rev. W. Peterson will officiate and burial will be made in the Riverside Cemetery. Friends May call at the Hoepper and Kraut Funeral Home.

The former Lula Scheel was born Oct. 9, 1896, and was married in the town of Green Grove on Aug. 4, 1915, to Louis Hardrath. After their marriage the couple operated a farm near Loyal for two years and then came to the town of Green Grove.

Survivors include her husband, four children, Mrs. Roscoe (Inez) Alexander, Lake Forest, Ill.; Harley Hardrath, Owen; Richard Hardrath, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Addie Hardrath, Idaho Falls, Idaho; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ray Lapp, Dorchester; Mrs. J. Van Dreel, Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Sophia Schulhauser, Marshfield; and five brothers, Roland Scheel, Orangeville, Ohio; Frank Scheel, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Ralph Scheel, Owen and Henry Scheel, Owen and Lawrence *Schell, Erie, Pa.
