Schottler, Clarence W. (27 May 1906 - OCT 1930)

Clarence William Schottler was born at Withee, Clark Co., Wis., May 27, 1906, and was the son of Adam & Emma M. Schottler, his father preceding him in death a year and a day ago.

He was a graduate of the Withee High School, class of 1925. He was a graduate of several correspondence courses, Viz: The American School of Aviation at Chicago; The Pillman Institute of London, and various courses in music, the piano and violin.

After graduating from high school he was employed on the farm of his parents.

He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the St. Vincent Court at Thorp. He was also a member of the Sacred Heart choir of Withee for eight and one-half years. The funeral services were conducted Friday morning from Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Withee, the Rev. Father McGuire of Abbotsford officiating. Interment being made at the Riverside Cemetery.

Many of his brother Foresters attended the funeral in a body, and six of the younger members acted as pallbearers.

Relatives attending the funeral from out of town were: Mrs. E. J. Koenen and daughter Miss Marcella, and son John, and Mrs. Elmer Koenen, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bornheimer of Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bialczick of Medford.
