Elmendorf, John J. (28 Dec 1929 - 3 Dec 1930)
John Jay, infant son of Bernard and Frances Elmendorf, was born at Monte Vista, Colo., and died at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Kile in the town of Butler, Clark Co., Wis., on Dec. 3, 1930 of convulsions, aged 11 months and 6 days. He was brought to Wisconsin at the age of about 5 months.
There are left to mourn, besides his parents, two brothers, Thorval and Junior, one sister, Janie, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kile and J. D. Elmendorf, of Thorp, and numerous other relatives. The funeral services were held at the school house in Butlerville on the afternoon on Friday Dec. 5th with preaching by Rev. E. M. Bickell of Greenwood, Clark Co., followed by interment in Butler Cemetery.
