Ewert, Arthur (20 Jan. 1901 - 9 May 1970)
COLBY, WIS. - Arthur Ewert, 69, of route 2, Colby, Wisconsin, died last Saturday evening at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, where he had been a patient for the past week.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Arthur Raasch, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
Friends May call at the Lulloff Funeral Home beginning at noon Tuesday.
Mr. Ewert was born Jan. 20, 1901, in the town of Unity. He was married Sept. 10, 1924, to Ettamat Neumann. The couple had farmed in the town of Green Grove, where he had lived at the time of his death.
Mr. Ewert has served as a supervisor and chairman of the town of Green Grove for many years.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Myron Ewert, Colby; Meliv Ewert, Germantown; Melford Ewert, Owen; Norman Ewert, Eau Claire; 15 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Elmer Carlson, Unity; and two brothers, Henry Ewert; Dorchester, and Lester Ewert, Marshfield.
