Page, Amber (Marriage - 28 June 1946)
Mr. and Mrs. George Maier, Atlanta, Ga., announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Amber Page, of Atlanta, to Howard Hardrath, Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath, Unity. The nuptial ceremony was read June 28, at 7 p.m., in the Galena street Methodist Church, Milwaukee, by the Rev. H. F. Thomas.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft, Unity, were the attendants.
For her wedding the bride was attired in a navy blue street frock with navy and white accessories. Mrs. Wiedenhoeft wore a black and white dress and white accessories and both had shoulder corsages of rose buds and lilies of the valley.
After the wedding, a dinner and reception were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lange, uncle and aunt of the groom. Thirty-five guests attended.
While on their wedding trip they visited with the bridegroom’s parents in Unity where on July 5 a coin shower was given in honor of the young people, and on July 6 the neighbors gave the bride and groom a charivari.
Mr. and Mrs. Hardrath will reside in Milwaukee.
Guests include Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath, Harold and Bud Hardrath, Unity; Paul Maier, Atlanta, Ga.; Staff Sgt., Gene Emery, Fort Benning, Ga.; Misses Edna and Myra Hardrath and Mrs. Louise Hardrath, Chicago.
