A wedding gown of nylon jersey and satin was chosen by the bride. In ballerina length, it was styled with a satin cummerbund. A beaded-crown headpiece held her finger-tip veil. Pink carnations surrounded a white orchid for the bridal bouquet.

Wedding day events were a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Schmirler and a 4 o’clock supper served to guests in the Abbotsford High School dining room.
Mr. Wiedenhoeft is a graduate of Unity High School and attended Stevens Point College. He is employed with the Soo Line Railroad. The bride is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and St. Mary’s School of X-ray Technology at Wausau.
