Hardrath, Mabel (30 May 1892 - Sept. 1980)
Abbotsford - Mrs. Mabel Hardrath, 88, Continental Manor Nursing home, died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. She was admitted there Sept. 17.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north Green Grove. The Rev. Roland Rakow is to officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Friends May call after 1 p.m. Friday at Rux-Lolloff Funeral Home, Colby.
The former Mable Reack was born May 30, 1892 in Two Rivers. She attended school in the town of Beaver. In 1913, she and Henry Hardrath were married at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, South Green Grove. The couple farmed in the Green Grove area. After his death in 1955, she worked in a candy factory in Chicago.
She did domestic work in the Abbotsford and Colby area and was affiliated with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Alvin (Lila) Frane of Colby, and Allen Hardrath of Las Vegas, Nev.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lily Schuette of Unity and Leona Reack of Manitowoc.
Two sons, one brother, and two sisters are deceased.
