Awe, Rose (31 March 1891 - 6 Jan. 1977)

Owen - Mrs. Rose Awe, 85, Route 1, Withee, died of an apparent heart attack at her home Thursday evening.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kraut –Maurina Funeral Home in Owen. Burial will be in Withee Riverside Cemetery. Robert Ruprich of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate.

Visitations May be made after 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The former Rose Brecker was born in the town of Beaver on March 31, 1891 and was married on May 28, 1910, in the Town of Green Grove church to Henry Awe. He died Feb. 11, 1973.

She received her education in the Town of Beaver School. The couple farmed in the Town of Green Grove area from 1910 to 1970, when they moved to Route 1, Withee.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Alvina) Laabs, Owen, Mrs. Raymond (Alma) Harper, Corning, Calif., Mrs. Lena Molle, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Alfred (Ruth) Molle, route 1, Withee; a brother, Frank Brecker, Unity; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, four sisters, and a grandchild.
