Vandehey, Nora (23 May 1876 - 1953?)

Abbotsford - Funeral services for Mrs. Nora F. Vandehey, 77, who died at 7 a.m. Tuesday at her home, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Raymond Schultz will officiate and burial will take place in the Loyal Cemetery.

Mrs. Vandehey, formerly Nora F. Kennedy, was born May 23, 1876, in Halder, and was married there to James Vandehey Jan. 21, 1896. She received her education in Halder and Mosinee. Three years ago she moved to Abbotsford, where she was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and of the Altar Society.

Surviving are five sons, Elmer and Ray Vandehey, Abbotsford; Grand Vandehey, Escanaba, Mich.; Leonard Vandehey, Auburndale; and James C. Vandehey, Kaukauna; three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Hazel) Rice and Mrs. Adonis (Margaret) Dalberto, Iron Mountain, Mich.; and Mrs. Noel (Nora) Schelling, Abbotsford; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Her husband, a daughter, a son, three sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death.

Friends May call at the Zink Funeral Home, where the body will lie in state.
