COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 08/21/1930 Maurer, Freda (14
AUG 1930) Freda Maurer,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Maurer, of Limestone, N.Y., and Joseph
L. Klouda of this village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.), were united in
marriage on Thursday, Aug. 14, 1930, at Stillwater, Minn., Rev. R.
H. Meicer performing the ceremony. The bride wore a gown of peach
chiffon and carried a bouquet of roses and the groom the
conventional suit of blue. After a brief honeymoon spent at St.
Paul and Minneapolis they returned to Thorp and are "at home" in
their handsome new home erected by Mr. Klouda during the past few
months. The bride is an experienced teacher and for four years was
a member of the faculty of the Thorp High School and Joe is
numbered among the solid and staid businessmen of the village. Congratulations
are extended to this couple and the best wishes of all for a happy
and prosperous wedded life in which the "Courier" heartily joins.
