MRS. WIEDENHOEFT DIES TODAY AT HOME IN UNTIY

UNITY, WIS. - Mrs. Edith Weidenhoeft, Unity, who underwent a heart operation a year ago in Minneapolis, died at 4 a.m. today at her home. She was the wife of Gilbert Wiedenhoeft, who operates a grocery store here. The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby is in charge of arrangements for the services which will be held Thursday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church here.

FUNERAL SET FOR UNITY WOMAN

Mrs. Wiedenhoeft to be Buried Thursday

UNITY, WIS. - The Rev. Roy Gustafson of Ogema will officiate at funeral services Thursday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church here for Mrs. Gilbert J. Wiedenhoeft, 42, who died early Monday at her home of a heart condition. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Friends May pay their respects at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby where the body now lies in state.

Although afflicted with a heart ailment for which she underwent surgery a year ago at Minneapolis, Mrs. Wiedenhoeft was active in her church and its Ladies Aid Society as well as the local PTA and other school activities.

A lifelong resident of this community, the former Edythe H. Hardrath was born in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, April 17, 1914. She received her education there and Oct. 5, 1932, was married Mr. Wiedenhoeft in Colby. Her husband, who survives her, operates a grocery store here.

Other survivors are two children, Gilbert Jr. and Anita, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath, Owen; and three brothers, Harold of Unity, Halbert of Atlanta, Ga. One brother, Harvey preceded her in death.

RITES HELD FOR UNITY WOMAN

UNITY, WIS. - Funeral services were held here Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Edythe Wiedenhoeft, 43, whose death occurred Feb. 10. The Rev. Roy Gustafson of Ogema officiated at the services during which the church choir sang, "Some Day He Will Make It Right" and "God Will Take Care of You." Mrs. Ansel Messer was the organist.

Interment took place in the Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Forest Johnson, William Schultz, Clifford Carlson, Leon Jost, Corwin Dallman, and H. E. Mandel.

Out-of-town persons here for the funeral included: Mrs. Louise Hardrath, Enda Hardrath, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Collipp, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lange, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lens, Fred Bloohm, Mrs. Frank Panzer, Brownsville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kleinfeldt, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lange, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Meyer and daughter Carol, Marengo.

Mrs. Harold Hardrath suffered broken bones in her ankle when she fell on the stairs at her home the past week. Mrs. Howard Hardrath, who came Wednesday afternoon from Atlanta, Ga., was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield that evening, suffering from pneumonia. Mrs. Hardrath Sr. was stricken with a heart attack the past week and was unable to attend the funeral of her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft.
