FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. MARTHA HORNER WEDNESDAY, JULY 22

Mrs. Martha Horner, 65, of route 1, Owen, died Saturday evening, July 18 at 6:40 p.m. at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. The cause of her death was a heart attack.

The Rev. Paul Doering officiated at the funeral service at the Myre Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.

Martha Margaret Horner, the former Martha Witte, was born February 22, 1899 at Manitowoc. She came to Clark County with her parents as a child and made their home on a farm in the Town of Unity. She was married September 24, 1919 in the Town of Unity to Edward Horner who preceded her in death on April 24, 1958. After her marriage, she lived on a farm in Green Grove Township.

Mrs. Horner is survived by one daughter, Margaret of Eau Claire; and two sons, Emil, Owen; and Orville, Eau Claire. One son, Elmer died in infancy. She is also survived by three grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
