He had been promoted to corpl. then sgt. captured 7-i-1863 before Gettsburg battle returned to duty 8-16 from West Chester, Pa. From that point on was absent or sick in hospital onmuster sheets till discharge 11-26-1864 . wounded battle of Bull Run. Was reduced in ranks to Prvt. while absent or sick.
