(31 OCT 1852 - 15 Augl 1890) Died, at her home
in this village (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Friday night, the 15th
inst., of blood poisoning, Margaret, wife of John Margraf, in the
38th year of her age. Mrs.
Margraf’s maiden name was Riel; she was born in Bavaria, Oct.
31st, 1852; she came to America in 1875 with her parents, who
located in Milwaukee. In June 1877 she
was united in marriage with John Margraf, and in 1883, she came
with her husband to Colby and has made her home here since that
time. Mrs. Margraf was
the mother of six children, three boys and three girls, all of whom
are living and, with the husband mourn the loss of a loving mother
and wife. The funeral
occurred at St. Killian’s Church on Monday and the remains
interred in the Catholic cemetery, Rev. A. J. Joerres
officiating. The funeral was
one of the largest held in this village, thirty-six teams forming
the procession to the cemetery.
