PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 10/31/1889 Eggebrecht,
Augusta (28 OCT 1889) Married, at the
residence of J. D. Wicker in this village (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.),
on Monday evening, the 28th, inst., by Court Commissioner, J. D.
Wicker, Mr. Eugene Wicker of the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis.,
and Miss Augusta, daughter of Charles Eggebrecht, also of the town
of Hull. Mr. Wicker is one
of the prominent young farmers in this vicinity, he has made this
place his home for the past seventeen years and is known as an
industrious, energetic, hard working young man, one of the kind who
is bound to get along well in life, and can count his friends by
the score. Miss Eggebrecht
has only lived her about five years, but during that time has made
many warm and sincere friends, all of whom wish her and "Gene" many
years of unalloyed happiness and prosperity. The Phonograph joins
with the others and in the language of Rip Van Winkle, "may you
live long and prosper."
