Mueller, Walter O. (28 June 1906 - 25 May 1995)
Walter Oscar Mueller, 88, Holcombe, formerly of Colby, Wisconsin, died on May 25, 1995, at his residence in Holcombe.
Funeral services were held May 27 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby with the Rev. John Malik officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Colby.
Walter Mueller was born on June 28, 1906, the son of August and Eda (Beyer) Mueller. He and the former Mary Steinwand were married on May 30, 1936 in Colby. He attended Colby High School.
He and his wife owned and operated the Mueller Bar & Grill in Colby for many years and he also employed as janitor with the Colby Elementary School. He was a member of the Colby Volunteer Fire Department and St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell. Walter had moved to Holcombe in the 1960’s, where he had resided until his death.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary on Nov. 30, 1985, and one brother, Lawrence Mueller.
Pallbearers were Ray Roehn, Robert Van Fleet, Rod Cook, Arnold Rannow, Mark Rannow, and William Maurina.
Maurina Funeral Service assisted the family.
