Obit: Smith, Henry (Sept. 2, 1871 - March 7 1948)
LOYAL - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Loyal Methodist Church for Henry Smith, 76, who died Sunday afternoon, March 7. He had been ill since last fall.
The Rev. Lee Holmes will officiate at the services and burial will be made in the Loyal cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Loyal funeral home until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and then will be taken to the church.
The Town of Beaver resident was born in Finland Sept. 2, 1871, and came to the United States when he was 21. He married Eda Johnson April 19, 1910, at Loyal. Before that time he lived at Hibbing, Minn.
Surviving are his wife and two sons: Henry and Lawrence, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Aleda) Domitz, Milwaukee; and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Lyle Treankler, Iron Mountain, Mich.
