Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 03/31/1892 Bunnell, Cornelius
(18 OCT 1826 - 26 Mar 1892) Died, at his
residence two mile south of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), on
Saturday, March 26th, 1892, from paralysis, Cornelius Bunnell, in
the 66th year of his age. Cornelius Bunnell
was born in Connecticut, Oct. 18th, 1826, was married to Mrs. Sally
Kyser about 37 years ago. In the spring of 1866 he moved with his
family to Wisconsin and settled at Horicon, Dodge Co. He came to
Colby in the spring of 1876 and settled in the town of Hull,
Marathon Co., where he has since resided, respected by all who knew
him, as a quiet, honest and upright citizen. His death was very
sudden, as up to Friday evening he was feeling in usual health, but
about four o’clock Saturday morning he began to groan and act
strangely. Mrs. Bunnell asked him what was the matter and he was
unable to answer. From that time he failed rapidly until about 10
o’clock a.m., he breathed his last. His wife and three
sons mourn his sudden death. The funeral
occurred on Tuesday at the M. E. Church, Rev. Thos. Biggar
officiating, and the remains interred in Colby Cemetery.
