(1823 - 5 NOV 1892) Died, at his
residence in the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., on Saturday, Nov.
5th, 1892, of pneumonia, John Borchert, aged 69 years and 11
months. Mr. Borchert was
born in Belling, Pommern, Koenigreich, Prussia, in 1823. He married
and reared a family in Germany, and in 1871, with his family
emigrated to the United States and settled in the Town of Theresa,
Dodge Co., Wis., where he resided until 1879, when he removed to
the town of Colby, where he has since resided, one of the most
respected citizens of the town. As a citizen he
was universally respected by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn
his loss, a wife, two sons, Charles of Galesville, Trempealeau Co.,
Ernest of the town of Colby, and a daughter, Mrs. Chas. Lindemann
of Brownstown, Minn. The funeral
occurred at the Lutheran church in this city, Rev. Jos. R. Fiehler
officiating.
