MAY 1893) Miss Linnie Beer
of Beaver Dam, Wis., well known to many residents of Colby, Clark
Co., Wis., was married to Frank Hammer of Chicago, on Monday, the
29th, inst. A correspondent of the Sentinel gives the following
account of the wedding: "A brilliant
wedding took place today at St. Peter’s Church. The
contracting parties were Frank Hammer of Chicago and Miss Linnie
Beer of this city, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Beer and a well
known soprano singer of St. Peter’s Church Choir. The wedding
took place at 9 a.m., the Rev. Joseph A. Dreis officiating. The
bride wore a beautiful white silk dress, the veil reaching to the
veil reaching to the floor and extending to the end of the long
train. A reception was given members of the choir and relatives.
The young couple took the afternoon train for Chicago, their future
home."
