Miss Grace Brown of Neillsville, will give a recital in the lodge hall, Tuesday evening, January 29th. Commences at 7:30 o’clock.

The severest snow storm of the season prevailed here Monday; it was a regular blizzard.

Wm. Rowe has purchased a soddering outfit and can mend anything in the line of tinware.

John McMahon of LaCrosse, is here on a visit to his mother and brother.

Jennie Rowe visited her aunt, Mrs. Mary Redmond, Wedneday and Thursday.

Rev. Hoffman and wife of Loyal, were the guests of W. Rowe and family last Wednesday.

Belle Meeks returned to her home at Alma Center last Thursday.

Geo. Fulwiler of Marshfield, visited his parents the latter part of last week.

We understand that the school house in Dist. No. 3 will have a bell. We suggest that a larger school house be built and that we have a graded school.

Webster Snyder of City Point, came up last week to renew old acquaintances.

The membership of the M. E. Church are holding cottage prayer meetings in this neighborhood, and we are informed that they are doing a good work.

E. M. Rowe and wife of Neillsville, visited friends and relatives in this vicinity the fore part of the week.

C. F. Vick is busily engaged in cutting ice for the creamery.

Warner Davis of Neillsville, sawed a large pile of wood for Chester Quackenboss last week, with his steam sawing outfit.

Will Garbush of Maple Works, was a caller here Sunday.

Henry Peat, John Vandeburg, W. Graves and others have each made extensive improvements on their farms this winter.

Chas. Cornelius came up from the County Seat on business last week.

Mrs. I. Fulwiler and son made a trip to Lynn Sunday. Several of our farmers started for the city with wood on their sleds Saturday, and we have since learned that they were stranded on the way and are waiting for more snow.

A basket supper was given last Saturday night at Will Owens’ for the Rev. Foster.
