PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 12/07/1893 Helms, Flora E. (4
DEC 1893) Married, at the
residence of the bride’s parents, at Kendall, Wis., on
Monday, Dec. 4th, 1893, Clarence M. Taylor of this city (Colby,
Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss For a E. Hems of Kendall, the
bride’s father, V. H. Helms, officiating. The groom will be
recognized by our readers as one of the most estimable young men of
this city, here, where he has grown to manhood and where he is best
known, he counts his friends by the score, and all of them will
unite with us in wishing him and his fair bride, who comes among us
a stranger, long years of happiness and an abundance of the good
things of this life. The happy couple
arrived at their home here, Tuesday evening, and have since been
receiving the hearty congratulations of many friends. A communication
received by Rev. V. H. Helms says: "Twenty-eight of the
bride’s personal friends were present. A goodly number
accompanying the happy pair to the depot, wishing them much joy and
God bless you in your future home. The presence of the
groom’s mother, who had come with her son to witness his
marriage, lent a cheerful air to the nuptial scene."
