Snyder, Elsie G. (Marriage - 10 JUN 1914)
Mr. Nicholas Scherer and Miss Elsie G. Snyder were married Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock, June 10, 1914, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. F. Snyder on Clay St. (Neillsville, Clark Co.), Rev. H.A. Risser officiating. They were attended by Mr. Ernest Snyder, the bride’s brother, and Miss Jessie Dwyer.
Many useful and beautiful presents were received by the bride and groom. After a fine wedding supper they went immediately to their own home on Fourth St., which was all furnished and ready to begin housekeeping.
The groom is associated with his brother in the laundry business here, the firm being known as the Scherer Bros. He is a hustling, industrious young man, who by close attention to work is helping to build up a good business. The bride was born and brought up here (Neillsville, Clark County), graduated from Neillsville schools and became a successful teacher. Her rare personal beauty and pleasing manner have made her a social favorite. With them to their new home go the good wishes of many friends.
