Free, Beatrice (Marriage - 6 OCT 1914)
Mr. Willard E. Waters of Humbird, Clark Co. and Miss Beatrice Free of this city were married at Greenwood Oct. 6, 1914, at the residence of Rev. W.T. Hendren, who officiated. Only relatives were present at the ceremony.
The groom is the son of James E. Waters, a prominent citizen of Humbird, and for many years Post Master in that village. He is a young man of High character and excellent education. For some time he was assistant post master and was also connected with the Farmers Life Mutual Insurance Co. He is now secretary of this company, which has grown to be a large institution and he devotes his entire time to the duties of his office.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Free of Neillsville. She grew up here, graduated from our high school and became a very successful teacher. She taught several years at Humbird and later taught in the grades at Neillsville. She is a young lady of rare charm of person and character, and has been helpful in her home and in the community.
After a trip through the north part of the state they will begin housekeeping at their new home in Humbird. To them will be offered the best wishes of all who know them, in which we most heartily join.
