ROBERTS WHITMAN ----Source: Clark
County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 11/19/1914 Crandall, Jessie
Roberts (? - 7 NOV 1914) A copy of Lebanon,
Oregon, Express of Nov. 10, gives an account of the death of Mrs.
L. A. Crandall of that city, Nov. 7. She will be remembered here
(Neillsville, Clark Co.) as Jessie May Roberts, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Dwight Roberts, who moved to Oregon about fifteen years ago.
She was married in 1901 to L. A. Crandall, who with their four
children, survive her. She was active in church and social work,
being affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, also a member of the
Parent-Teachers Circle and the Woman’s Civic Club. Out of
respect for the family the business houses of the city were all
closed during the funeral services. She leaves beside
her husband and the children, her parents, two sisters, Mrs. W.C.
Whitman of Lebanon and Mrs. George Roberts of Prineville, and one
brother, Archie. Her old friends in Neillsville, where she was born
and lived till she was twenty years of age, will grieve to learn of
her death.
