Dixon, Eva (16 OCT 1849 - 25 NOV 1914)

Mrs. Eva Dixon died at the Veterans Home, Waupaca, Nov. 25, 1914, after a long illness. The remains were brought here for burial, and the funeral took place Saturday at the M.E. Church, Rev. Mr. Coleman officiating, assisted by Rev. S.B. Pinney of the Presbyterian Church. Deceased, whose maiden name was Eva Montgomery, was born in Fulton Co., Ohio, Oct. 16, 1849. She was married to Samuel Dixon at Delta, Ohio, Dec. 1, 1867. They came to Neillsville in 1875, and Mrs. Dixon died in 1887. To them were born four children, two sons and two daughters; she is survived by only one son, Ernest.

Mrs. Dixon was a woman of beautiful character and disposition; helpful in all good things as long as her strength held out, patient in suffering, kindly and cheerful under adversity. She was a loved and honored member of the M.E. Church, the W.R.C. and the W.C.T.U.
