Zachernitz, Rosa (29 Mar 1845 - 2 Feb 1915)

Rosa Fredericka Johana, wife of Carl Zachernitz, died at her home in Pine Valley, Clark County, Feb. 2, 1915, at 7:30 a.m., aged 69 years, 10 months and 4 days. She was born in Germany March 29, 1845 and grew to womanhood there. On Dec. 26, 1868 she was married to Mr. Zachernitz, and for many years they continued to live in Germany, the husband carrying on a large and successful business. About fifteen years ago they came here and lived most of the time since on their farm. She was a lady of education and culture, a good wife, mother and kind neighbor.

Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Martha Hachman of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Allen Wildish of Pine Valley; four sons, Henry, Carl, Robert and Edmond, all living here; also one sister and one brother in Germany.

The funeral was held Friday at the Presbyterian Church, Rev. S.B. Pinney officiating.
