Scott, Eletta “Kay” (1 September – 9 June 2021)

Eletta “Kay” Scott, age 80, of Chili, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

She was born September 1, 1940, in Jefferson County, IL to Aubrey and Elsie Nichols. Kay was a long time resident of Illinois and retired from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department in 2007. In 2017, she relocated to Chili to enjoy a slower paced lifestyle. Kay enjoyed cooking, crafting and had a long time relationship with QVC. She loved dragonflies, fairies and was a passionate NASCAR fan, always cheering for “her” driver, Denny Hamlin. She was a Chicago Cubs fan through and through with a picture of Kris Bryant as the wallpaper on her phone and proudly flying the “W” even in Wisconsin. Grandma Kay will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Scott, Renda (Jim) Faber, and Vicki Jeralds; her daughter-in-law, Christy Scott; her brothers, Bob (Barb) Nichols and Don (Sharon) Nichols; her grandchildren Derek (Analysa) Scott, Laurie (Jason) Winter, Megan (Sara) Gelsomino, Amanda (Andrew) Dworznicki, Nick (Murphy) Faber, Richie Jeralds, Brandon (Kellie) Jeralds; and her great-grandchildren, Stevie Scott, Caleigh and Cooper Winter, Anthony and Austin Gelsomino, Jamison and Eletta (Ellie) Jeralds, and Kylie Jeralds.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Steven and Jeffrey.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Illinois at a later date. In her memory, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The family would like to send sincere thanks to Dr. Fagbemi and all the doctors and staff at Marshfield Clinic for their kind and caring treatment over the past few years.
