County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 04/01/1915 Plummer, Agnes (7
MAR 1896 - 29 Mar 1915) Mrs. Frank Plummer
died at her home in the town of York, Clark County Monday, March
29, 1915, aged 19 years and 22 days. No sadder death has ever
occurred in York, nor one that has stirred the sympathies of the
community to a greater depth. Agnes LaStofka was born in the town
of York March 7, 1896, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. P.
LaStofka. She grew to womanhood there beloved by all who knew her.
On June 17 of last year she became the bride of Frank Plummer, a
prominent and popular young farmer. It was a happy day for all
their many friends, the beautiful farm house of the bride’s
parents was filled with guests from far and near and all rejoiced
at the happy prospects that lay before the couple. It was planned
that they should live upon the home farm; a lease for five years
had been arranged; Mr. and Mrs. LaStofka about two weeks ago moved
to Neillsville and the young people had just got moved into the
farm home, when death came, destroying the happy plans and hopes.
It is one of those sad partings that lies beyond the narrow view of
human eyes to justify, one only that can be understood by the
revelation of the future. The funeral will
be held today, Thursday, Rev. H. Brandt is officiating.
