Celesta R. (3 Feb 1827 - 6 Apr 1915) Mrs. Celesta R.
O’Hara died of cancer at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lute
Garfield of Olivet, April 6, 1915, aged 88 years, 2 months, and 3
days. Celesta R. Cole was born Feb. 3, 1827 at Vails Corners, N.Y.
and was married to Wm. O’Hara in 1857. To them were born ten
children. Her husband died in 1876, leaving her with the care of a
large family of small children. She was confined
to her bed 8 months and was very patient, never complaining. She leaves to
mourn her death Mrs. Geo. Copithom of Shippum, Dodge Co.; Wm.
O’Hara of Juneau and Mrs. Lute Garfield of Olivet, Pierce Co.
The remains were taken to Dodge Co. for burial in the family lot.
Mrs. Geo. Copithom and James Garfield accompanied the remains.
