McKimm, Isabella (23 NOV 1828 - 20 Augl 1915)
Mrs. Isabella Jane McKimm died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Begley, in the town of York, Clark County, Aug. 20th, 1915.
Deceased was born in Ireland Nov. 23, 1828. She moved to Canada in childhood, grew to womanhood there, and in 1849 was married to Samuel McKimm. They came to Wisconsin in 1874 and settled in the town of York, where she has resided ever since.
To them were born eight children, five of who are living: James McKimm of Canada; Mrs. C.A. Ecker of Whitehall; Mrs. Ed Begley of the town of York; Mrs. Sam Christie of the town of Eaton; and Joseph McKimm of the town of York. She leaves also 29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. In her days of strength she was a woman of great industry. Her life was devoted to the good of her family and people around her. She did well her work in life.
She was laid at rest in the York Center Cemetery, Rev. W.T. Hendren of Greenwood and Rev. Mr. Pwel of Loyal officiating.
