(1853 - 14 OCT 1915) G.W. Curtiss,
formerly an old resident of Neillsville, Clark County, died at the
hospital in St. Paul Oct. 14, 1915, aged 62 years. The cause of his
death was Bright’s disease. Deceased was born
in the state of Ohio and came to Clark County about 45 years ago.
He lived in Neillsville and vicinity for 39 years, leaving here
five or six years ago. He leaves to mourn his death two sons of his
first marriage, Melvin Curtiss of the state of Washington and Evan
T. Curtiss of St. Paul; his second wife survives him with their
daughter, aged six years. He leaves also a number of relatives and
many old friends in this city to mourn his death. Funeral services
were held in St. Paul and the remains were brought here for burial
Tuesday, brief services being held at the cemetery. The son Evan
came Monday to make preparations for the burial.
