County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 02/24/1916 Ackerman, Edith
(28 Mar 1863 - 22 Feb 1916) Miss Edith
Ackerman passed away at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. C.A.
Ackerman in the town of Weston, Clark County at an early hour
Tuesday morning Feb. 22, 1916, aged 52 years, 10 months and 25
days. She suffered a stroke of paralysis on Friday and lingered
only a few days. Edith Ardel
Ackerman was born and lived all her life here. She attended school
for a time in Neillsville, but practically all her life has been
spent on the old farm in Weston, where her parents were among the
earliest settlers. With patient love and devotion she worked and
cared for her parents as old age crept upon them. They came to
depend greatly upon her, and her death will indeed be a severe blow
to them. To them goes out the deepest sympathy of all their old
friends and neighbors. Hers was a quiet and seemingly uneventful
life, and yet it was a true and noble life, and was worthy of
remembrance as many whom the world calls great. She leaves to mourn
her death her aged parents, a brother Fred, who lives near the old
home, a brother, Cecil, who lives in the west and one sister, Mrs.
Henry Garvin of Fessenden, N.D. The funeral will be held at the
Congregation Church Friday at 2 o’clock p.m., Rev. S.B.
Pinney officiating. The funeral will leave the home at 1
o’clock sharp.
