APR 1856 - 31 Mar 1916) Mrs. Frank Bred,
who had been in poor health for some time, died at her home in this
city March 31, 1916, aged 59 years, 7 months and 25 days. She was born at
Merrittsville, Canada April 12, 1856, her maiden name being Hannah
O’Brien. She came to Wisconsin with her sister, Mrs. Cummings
in April 1869. Later she lived with her sister Mrs. R.B. French Sr.
at Hatfield until her marriage with Frank Breed Dec. 25, 1876. They
took up their residence in Neillsville, and made their home here
ever since. She was a woman of quiet everyday good qualities, a
helpful wife, kind and loving mother, and a good neighbor, doing
faithfully each day the duties that came to her. She leaves her
husband and three children: Mary E., Margaret and Robert, all
residing at home; also one brother, John O’Brien of Levis and
one sister, Mrs. M.D. Zwight of Ferndale, Ore. The funeral was
held at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. G.W. Longenecker
officiating.
