County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 04/01/1915 Newell, Ida M.
(Marriage - 20 Mar 1915) Through an
oversight last week we failed to record the marriage of Mr. Roy
Cunningham and Miss Ida Newell, which took place at the M. E.
Parsonage March 20, 1915, Rev. L. B. Colman officiating. The groom
is a telegraph operator, stationed at Wausau and he is said to be
an expert in his profession. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. W. L. Newell, and is a young lady of excellent attainments.
While attending school here and at Wausau, she won considerable
fame as an eleutionist, besides making a fine record as a student
in other lines. She graduated from Neillsville High School,
entering as a senior from Wausau. The young couple went to Wausau
last week to begin housekeeping. ***Neillsville
Methodist Church Records indicate the groom was 23 yrs. old and the
bride was 19 years of age. LeRoy was born in Wausau, WI and Ida M.
was born in Neillsville, WI. Clara Newell and Willis Enhelder
served as witnesses. Clara and Willis were married that same day.
