County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 05/27/1915 Rowe, Effie
(Marriage - 26 May 1915) Mr. Vincent
Burrows and Miss Effie Rowe were united in marriage Wednesday
evening May 26, 1915, the groom’s father Rev. W.P. Burrows
officiating. The ceremony took place at the home of the
bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Rowe and was entirely a
quiet home affair.. The groom was attended by Ralph Rowe, brother
of the bride, and Miss Fay Dodsworth of Fairchild was bridesmaid.
The groom is a young man who is making a right start in life. He
graduated from Neillsville High School in 1911 and since then has
devoted most of his interest to farm and dairy work. He obtained a
wide experience in cheese making by work in warehouse and cheese
factories, ran the cheese factory above Globe for some time and
last winter completed the Dairy Course at the University, taking
both butter making and cheese making. He now has a good position
here with the Neillsville Dairy Co. The bride was
brought up here, graduating from the high school in the class of
1810. She has since taught most successfully in the schools of this
vicinity. She is a helpful factor in church and social work and
worthy in every way of the high regard in which she is held. We
join most heartily in wishing this young couple happiness.
