County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 06/24/1915 Retzlaff, Clara O.
(Marriage - 16 JUN 1915) Mr. Albert R.
Garbush and Miss Clara O. Retzlaff were quietly married at the
Methodist Parsonage in this city Wednesday June 16, 1915, Rev. L.
B. Colman officiating. The groom, who is the son of Mrs. Paulina
Garbush of this city (Neillsville, Clark County) is well known
here, having spent most of his life in this vicinity, except a few
years in North Dakota. He is a young man of industry, good habits
and rare intelligence. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Retzlaff of the town of Lynn and is a
young lady well qualified to assist in taking charge of a new home.
They have bought a farm between Loyal, Wis. and Greenwood, Wis. and
are getting ready to go on the place as soon as possible. It would be a
fortunate thing for Clark County if we had more young people of
this character who would settle on our new lands or take charge of
some of our older farms. It would mean the building up of the
county. Our best wishes are with the bride and groom in their new
home. Methodist Church
Records of Neillsville, Wis. indicate the groom was 33 yrs. and the
bride 34 yrs. G. V. Watters & Effie Dewit served as witnesses.
