Roberts, Bertha (Marriage - 10 Jul 1915)

The many readers of the Banner will no doubt be surprised when they read this, as we were when we noticed an article in the Lambert Promoter this week, telling of the happy marriage of Miss Bertha Roberts and George Wiesner Jr., both of this place at Lambert last week.

The Lambert paper has this to say regarding the wedding:

"A quiet wedding took place at the Henry Winkes home Saturday evening at 8:30 when Miss Bertha Roberts and Mr. George Wiesner were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Only Mr. and Mrs. Winkes were present. Judge Fowler being summoned to perform the ceremony.

The groom is a brother of Mrs. Winkes and with Miss Roberts came over from near Circle a couple weeks ago for a visit. No one outside of the family knew of the wedding until after Monday, when the couple departed for their home. While here they made numerous friends, who will joining the Promoter in wishing them a happy and prosperous journey through life."

The newlyweds certainly slipped one over on us but it gives us great pleasure in joining with their many friends in wishing them a long and happy wedded life. (The Circle Banner, Circle, Mont.)
