(Marriage - 3 Augl 1915) Mr. Harry J. Root
of Minneapolis, formerly of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. and
Miss Hazel Rogers of Red Wing, Minn. were married at St.
Joseph’s Church at Red Wing, Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1915, at 7
a.m., Rev. Father P. Carey officiating. The groom is a son
of Mr. and Mrs. S. Root of Neillsville, Wis., a young man of
sterling qualities and has many friends in the twin cities, where
he has made his home the past four years, also at Neillsville his
former home. The bride is a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Fremont Rogers of Red Wing and a young
lady well fitted to assume the duties of a home. She also has many
friends in the twin cities and Red Wing. After the ceremony a
bounteous wedding breakfast was served at the home of the
bride’s parents, 1616 Norwood St. The young couple left Red
Wing at 1:15 Tuesday for a two week trip through Minn. and Wis.
After Aug. 20 they will return to the twin cities to reside. Mr.
Root holds a responsible position at Boneteles’, one of the
largest retail furniture stores in the Northwest. Their many
friends join in wishing them a long and happy life.
