County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 09/09/1915 Evans, Myrtle
(Marriage - 4 Sep 1915) Sheriff Louis
Hantke and Miss Myrtle Evans were united in marriage Saturday
evening Sept. 4, 1915, at the Lutheran Parsonage in Ripon, the
pastor Rev. Mr. Kuepher officiating. Alex Mahlke of Picketts, Wis.
was groomsman and Miss Clara Lynch of Neillsville attended the
bride. The groom, who is
sheriff of Clark County, is one of our best known and highly
honored citizens. He is a man who in his personal, business and
official relations with people of this community, has always shown
himself to be a man worthy of honor and confidence. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Evans. She graduated for
Neillsville High School in the class of 1908, and has been one of
the most successful teachers in this county, her services being
much in demand in the best schools. For several months past she
acted as secretary in the county superintendent’s office, a
position which she has filled most acceptably. She is a young lady
of culture and refinement, and has many friends. We join with them
in offering our best wishes.
