Kelpin, Erna J. (Marriage - 1 Dec 1915)

Mr. Carl Bloche and Miss Erna J. Kelpin were married at the Maple Works Church Dec. 1, 1915, Rev. M. Hasz officiating. The groom was attended by Herman and Arnold Kelpin, brothers of the bride, and the grooms sister, Miss Elizabeth Bloche and Miss Louise Schroeder were bridesmaids. The wedding march was played by Mrs. M. Hasz.

The bride wore a dress of white silk with a silk and bead embroidered overdress and carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The bridesmaids were dressed in white and also carried bouquets of roses. The groom wore the customary black.

The church was filled with friends and relatives of the bride and groom. After the ceremony a reception and supper was given to a number of their most intimate friends and relatives at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kelpin, in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Gustave Bloche of North Pine Valley and is an industrious and intelligent young farmer, a man of good character and the best of habits.

The bride was brought up in the town of Grant. She is a professional nurse and for some time was employed in Eau Claire. For some months she has been taking care of the groom’s mother, who is an invalid. Both the bride and groom possess those qualities which make for success and the maintenance of a prosperous home. We join with their many friends in wishing them much and continued happiness.
