County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 12/09/1915 Hemp, Helen
(Marriage - 27 NOV 1915) Saturday Nov. 27,
1915, Albert Jahr, one of Granton, Clark County, Wis. young
merchants came down on the evening train and was joined by one of
Neillsville’s loveliest girls, Miss Helen Hemp, and together
they proceeded to Eau Claire and were married by Rev. Sindal, C.
S. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hemp and has lived all her life in or
near Neillsville. She graduated from our high school in 1907, and
became one of the most successful teachers in this vicinity. She is
a young lady of culture and high ideals and has many admiring
friends. The groom is the son of Mrs. Augusta Jahr. He was brought
up on the farm in Grant and later was employed in stores in
Neillsville. A few years ago he, with his brothers, established a
dry goods and grocery store in Granton, where they are doing a fine
business. After a trip to
Chicago and other places they returned to Granton and began
housekeeping. Their Neillsville friends join with those around in
wishing them a happy life.
