COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 01/23/1885 McGrogan, Margaret
(17 Mar 1852 - 22 Jan 1885) Died, at her
residence in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), on the 22nd
of Jan., 1885, of catarrhal pneumonia, Margaret, wife of John
McGrogan, aged 32 years, 10 months and 5 days. Margaret Finnegan
was born in the Township of Peel, County of Wellington, Ontario, in
1852 and came to this country in 1871, stopping at Wrightstown,
this state, where she was married the year following to John
McGrogan. From Wrightstown they removed to Dorchester, this county,
where they lived on a farm until three years ago, when they came to
this place to reside. The death of Mrs. M. is a sad blow to the
husband, who, with six small children, the youngest being two days
old, are thus called upon to mourn the loss of wife and mother. The
family have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this
their hour of sad affliction.
