GREENWOOD GLEANER (Greenwood, Wis.) 04/28/1910 Wetzel, Adele (26
OCT 1883 - 21 Apr 1910) Last Thursday
afternoon at one-twenty o’clock, Mrs. Adele Wetzel passed
away at her home near Longwood, Clark County, Wis., at the age of
26 years. This was a great shock to the nearby neighbors and
friends and to the loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Schoenwetter,
who live on the farm known as the Harry Mead place. It was sad that
one so young and surrounded by a loving family should be taken
away, and doubly so when it is considered that a little babe of
only three weeks is left motherless. Mrs. Wetzel was a
Christian young woman and was a devoted wife and mother, never
thinking of shirking her duty where duty called her. Besides her
parents and grief stricken husband, and a host of friends who
extend their sympathy to the bereaved family, she leaves five
children, the oldest seven years old and the youngest only three
weeks old. Funeral services
were conducted by the Rev. O.J.F. Saewert at the home at one
o’clock Saturday, and at the Presbyterian Church in this
city, the remains being laid to rest by the side of a brother, who
died early last fall, in the Greenwood Cemetery.
