Barker, who died at her home in Loyal, Clark County, Wis. early
last week Sunday morning and was brought to this city for burial by
the side of her daughter in the Greenwood Cemetery, was born in
Erie Co., N.Y., Feb. 28, 1836. She came to this state with her
parents in 1844, and on March 4, 1853, was married to Geo. W.
Barker. They came to Clark County, Wis. in 1868 and took up a
homestead in the town of Beaver, where she lived for about 20
years, moving to the village of Loyal, where she died. The remains
were received in this village by the Royal Neighbors, of which the
deceased was a charter member. Besides a host of friends she leaves
a husband, one son and one daughter to mourn her death.
