Mathison, Grandma (99th birthday – 13 OCT 1934)

A large number of relatives and friends helped Grandma Mathison celebrate her 99th birthday anniversary, Oct. 13th, 1934. A pleasant afternoon was spent, after which a delicious lunch was served.

Mr. Mathison, who is the oldest resident of this community, came to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) with her husband, Martin Mathison, in the 1870's. They located on a piece of land east of Greenwood on Rock Creek, later moving to her present home southeast of Greenwood, where she still resides with a son and daughter.

Mrs. Mathison is blind and deaf, but otherwise is quite well, considering her advanced age.

Her many friends her extend best wishes and hope she enjoys more years of health and happiness.
