Bokovic, Louise (1905 - 6 Apr 1913)

The little seven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bokovic of Willard, Clark County, Wis., died early Sunday morning from the effects of a severe burning about the face and throat on Saturday afternoon.

He parents reside near the middle mound, northwest of Willard. Mr. Bokovic was engaged in burning brush a short distance from the home and was accompanied by his little daughter, Louise.

A spark flying from the burning brush caught in the child’s clothing near her breast. Before her cries for help could be answered, the flames had flashed about her face and were inhaled into her throat, which later caused her death.

Dr. Boeckmann was called but could do nothing to prolong the life of one whose death came so sadly and painfully.

Services were held at Willard on Monday and interment made temporarily until a cemetery can be acquired.
