OCT 1839 - 2 May 1914) Mrs. Nancy Burrows
died at the home of her son-in-law, V.J. Clute in this city
(Greenwood, Clark County, Wis.), on Saturday, May 2, 1914. Death
was due to old age and the bursting of a blood vessel on the brain.
She had made her home here since the death of her husband at Tomah,
four years ago. She was born at
Concord, H.H., Oct. 19, 1839, later moving to Wilton, Wis., where
in 1863 she was married to Franklin Burrows. Once child was
born to this union, Mrs. V.J. Clute, who departed this life May 15,
1903. The burrows family
moved from Wilton to Elroy and then to Janesville, where a greater
part of their life was passed. In 1902 the family came to Greenwood
and a few years later returned to Tomah, where Mr. Burrows
died. Deceased was a
very hospitable and friendly elderly lady, whom everyone loved and
though a great deal of. She was one of the charter members of the
O.E.S. in this city. Fuenral services
were held Monday from the Presbyterian Church, Rev. A.H. Anderson
officiating, assisted by rev. W.T. Hendren. At the Grave the O.E.S.
conducted the service. Interment was made in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
